FAQs
Q1. Do I have to go through an audition to get into SSW?
No, audition is not required to get into SSW.
Q2. Do I have to bring my own instrument?
Yes, you will need to bring your own instrument with the exception of Tuba, String Bass and all Percussion instruments.
Q3. I am an experienced player in my mid 20s, would I still be able to join?
You may want to consider joining the Sembawang Wind Orchestra instead, do contact us for more information.
Q4. What kinds of repertoire will I be exposed to?
Apart from the typical wind band repertoire, the Sembawang Symphonic Winds also exposes our players to pieces that most young musicians would usually not be exposed to, such as orchestral transcriptions and symphonies.
